To celebrate the launch of SBS’s new drama series, Sunshine, SBS partnered with CCP and Brimbank City Council to give people a chance to tell the story of their community through photographs. Whether they work, live or study in Sunshine, or have a strong connection to the suburb, the participants undertook a series of workshops to help prepare them to create a series for exhibition.

Congratulations to the winners: Stuart Murdoch, Deng Amad, Paul Ambler, Wally Elnour, Shannyn Lee Ducret, Piath Mathiang,  Anh Phan and Rachel Pocock!

Across a series of three workshops, under the guidance CCP tutor, Linsey Gosper and photographers, Ben King and Atong Atem, participants developed their unique story through powerful imagery.

The Sunshine photography project exhibition will be held from 17 October—30 November, at the Brimbank Community and Civic Centre, Level 1, 301 Hampshire Road, Sunshine.
