The essentials

It’s never too late to start! We begin your learning from the ground up, with revision of essential skills to strengthen competencies in camera operation, film processing and darkroom printing procedures. This is achieved through an intensive study of practical and theoretical techniques in black & white photography, that progresses onto the exciting areas of colour and digital imaging.

At PIC Photographic Imaging College, you can succeed at many levels. The overriding goal is to produce a portfolio of photographic works that demonstrates a high level of technical competence and conceptual maturity. You may be content to merely satisfy your creative spirit or you may use your folio to obtain entry into the photographic industry or undertake further studies.

Photographic Imaging College graduates have an excellent record in obtaining placements at tertiary institutions, especially at RMIT University and the Victorian College Of The Arts.

The course is continually revised and restructured around technological change. Lectures, workshops, on-location training are the venues for intensive practical and informational sessions.
