CCP Seminar: ‘THE CURIOUS TRUTH ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHIC SEEING’

2013-01-24 — posted by at 06:55

An interesting looking seminar, is coming up at the CCP. Have look it’s always a good idea to get another’s perspective on “photography”. From the web site, “This seminar takes a speculative, imaginative approach. Fereday will begin with a slide presentation and informal lecture, discussing her own work with reference to a range of artists from Hildegard of Bingen to Linda Sproul. A workshop component follows with practical exercises to demonstrate the profound and mysterious relationship between seeing, knowing, memory and desire. Discussion is welcome. ”

The Seminar is run by renowned Australian Artist Susan Fereday. http://www.ccp.org.au/news.php?id=193

Ex-Students win prizes at the CCP Salon

2008-04-18 — posted by at 04:36

Considering there were 400 or so entries into the salon that’s pretty darn good.

Karma Jercher and Christo Crocker were students with us in 2006 and have since gone onto further studies in photography at RMIT and VCA and are now prize winners. Very cool.

Click on the link to see all prize winners’ images and make sure you check out the exhibition as it looks like the best Autumn Salon at CCP I’ve seen for a while.

Make sure you check out the winner of the PIC prize. We sponsor the prize for the ‘best use of colour’ and the prize is a $300 gift voucher for our supplier Schreibers Photographics.

Look out for entry forms for next years salon and make sure you enter…..why not??
