Theft of Equipment

2010-07-16 — posted by at 06:50

A reminder that once you take equipment off the PIC campus you are wholly responsible for returning it. This means that even if the equipment is stolen from you, you are still personally and fully responsible for paying for a new replacement piece of equipment. Yes, that’s unfortunate but that’s the way it is.

So do not leave it in your car, do not leave it visible on the back seat, do not cover it with something or leave it in the boot of the car. As soon as you arrive home from school take it inside with you and don’t leave it where it can be visible from a window. ALWAYS hang onto it if you take it out.

Some of the equipment kits including lenses, pelican cases and accessories add up to quite a lot of money. For example to replace a our digital cameras kits will cost you nearly $2000.
